About Maria Beaumont

Maria’s parents are Greek Cypriots, though she was born in the East End in 1975. And, whatever it says on her birth certificate, that’s a FACT.

She hated school and generally preferred to bunk off to go dancing. She started out in clubs, then later did it properly at Pineapple Studios. Eventually she qualified as a dance teacher and has been doing that for several years.

She also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi for a bit, but not as a dance teacher.

Then she married Matt.

Who wrote a book called e.

And she thought, ‘I’ll have some of that.’

And so began her writing career.

When she isn’t teaching or writing, she’s a mum to Sam and Holly. Sam likes watching lots and lots of telly. Holly’s hobby is chicken nuggets.
